Accommodation

Grade 2 listed Crookey Cottage is a delightfully quirky place to unwind and enjoy Lakeland hospitality. With exposed oak beams, stained glass windows, and walls hung with local artwork, the cottage has bags of character whilst offering 21st century amenities like wifi broadband.
The guest lounge, where breakfast is served, has an extensive library of books, magazines and music for you to enjoy. The Coalbrookdale woodburning stove makes it a cosy retreat in the evenings, or on those rare(!) occasions when the rain sets in for the day. Free wifi is available for those who don’t want to leave the 21st century behind – the cottage’s thick stone walls mean most guests get the best signal in the lounge.

The Guest Room

Our en-suite guestroom was fully refurbished in 2007, and has been described as “the perfect blend of old and new”.
The roofspace is insulated beneath the slates, exposing the original riven oak spars, purlins and joists. A modern twist to the room comes in the form of artisan-made solid oak bed, wardrobe and doors; with wool carpeting throughout.

Freeview satellite TV, FM radio and DVD player are provided, along with a selection of DVDs.
An iron with mini-ironing board, hairdryer, and mini-fridge are also available should you wish to use them. For anything else, just ask and we’ll see what we can do…

Check-in is from 4pm; check-out is 10am, unless by prior arrangement – give us a call to discuss your requirements
